By car

From Trondheim - follow the E6 south and take off to Orkanger. After passing Orkanger you follow Highway 65 through Meldal and on to Rindal. The distance from Trondheim to Rindal is about. 9 mil, and the trip takes about 1 h 15 min.

From Oslo - After following the E6 through Gudbrandsdalen or Highway 3 Østerdalen takes one to Meldal / Orkanger by Berkåk in Rennebu. Further follow a road until it meets Highway 65 at Storås in Meldal. An alternative choice of route for the last part is way over Resdalen. Then a turn off to Vålåskaret at Å in Meldal.

From Kristiansund - Ferry between Kanestraum-neck, E39 to Betnér and continue along the R65 to Surnadal and Rindal. From Kristiansund Rindal distance is 13,5 mil.

By bus
